Retreating with friends

I spent my birthday with friends at the lovely Create-away Cottage in Collinsville.

It's a lovely facility north of Denton.

I quilted this little pine cone I painted surrounded by dupioni silk. 

I'm thread painting a small portrait of Pat and Lloyd.

and started thread painting a portrait of Rusty.

It was a wonderful weekend.
