Countdown to the Dallas Quilt Show

The show program has been sent to the printer and the last ads are off to the Dallas Morning News. Now it's time to put the finishing touches on my show entries.

My "Winter Chill" challenge block is finished and turned in.

"Cicada Song" 16x18" is finished except for the label.

"Obsession" 23x33" is finished!

"Obsession" detail.

"Sarah's Day Lilies" 22x30.5" still needs a label.

Tonya, these are all amazing!! Love your block for this year's contest and of course I'm crazy about Obsession!! Rusty looks awesome in quilt form. :)

Your quilts are gorgeous! I love the detailed quilting. I didn't know there was an individual block category but yours looks like a winner to me. I plan on going to the show this year. Do you know of any blogger meetups there? I've always thought that would be fun too.

MartiDIY,
There is a block challenge for guild members each year. The blocks are made into a "Keeper Quilt" that is displayed during the show.

I don't know of a blogger meetup but I will post here if I hear of one.

I wondered what the keeper quilts were. Thanks for the explanation. I was so excited that I saw your quilts there. I took the tour led by Dr. Montgomery and she pointed out the reverse applique on your Winter Chill and the whimsy on Obsession. My neighbor and I both thought you should have won with Sarah's Day Lillies. It was amazing.
