printmaking inspiration

I attended a VAST (Visual Art Society of Texas) meeting last night. The speaker was printmaker, Brett Dyer, a TWU graduate and instructor at Tarrant County College in Arlington. I enjoyed seeing his work and I imagined several quilts as he showed his work.

I also noticed a sweet little square signature, i think it's called a "chop", on the Quilting Arts Calendar December page. The artist is Marjorie A. DeQuincy. The quilt is “Bloom Anew” based on The Joy Luck Club.

That reminds me... I had my graphic design logo from the 80’s made into a rubber stamp. You may see it in some future quilts.

That rubber stamp is super cool. It definitely has potential in future quilts. You can order amazing personalized chops from here.
